Worked great in the UK!

I rented the UK Travel WiFi for my trip last month. It was super easy to pick up at the airport and worked perfectly throughout my whole trip. Definitely made navigating around way less stressful. No issues with coverage at all, even outside the main cities. Glad I got it.

Convenient, but delivery was slow

I ordered a Portable WiFi Hotspot Rental for a road trip through Ireland. The device itself was great and the unlimited data really helped keep everyone connected. However, it took 4 days to reach my hotel in Dublin, which was a bit longer than I expected. Customer service was helpful when I called to check on it, but it cut into my first day of travel a little. The return process was simple enough.

Esim was a lifesaver!

Got the Europe eSIM for my vacation across several countries and it was an absolute game changer! No fumbling with physical SIMs, just scanned the QR code and my phone was connected everywhere. The speeds were excellent for streaming and maps. It was so easy and convenient, I didn't have to worry about data at all. I will absolutely use Wificandy again for future trips to Europe!

Good value for my UK trip

I was looking for an affordable way to stay connected during my week in London and found WiFicandy. I went with the UK eSIM. The price point was definitely attractive compared to roaming fees from my home carrier. Activation was a little tricky to figure out initially, but once it was set up, it worked perfectly. Got a really good signal most of the time, and the unlimited data was great. Felt like a smart purchase for the money.

So good for my European trip!

I used the Europe Travel WiFi on my trip through France and Italy, and it was a lifesaver! Unlimited data meant I never worried about getting lost or uploading all my photos. Connection was fast everywhere, even on the trains. The battery life on the hotspot was pretty decent too, though I still kept a power bank handy just in case. I'm telling all my friends who travel to use this, it's amazing!

Consistent service, reliable data

This was my third time using WiFicandy for a trip to Ireland. I rented the Ireland Travel WiFi for two weeks again. As always, the device arrived on time, and setup was straightforward. Speeds were solid throughout my stay, even in some of the smaller towns in Kerry, though I did notice a slight dip in performance when I was further out in the countryside. Still, it's very dependable, which is why I keep coming back.

Great value on eSIM

This was my first time trying an eSIM for travel. I bought the Europe eSIM. I compared prices with a few other places, and Wificandy had the best deal for the data plan I needed. Activation was straightforward, and I had internet access right away when I landed in France. It saved me from roaming charges, which was my main goal. Definitely felt like a smart purchase and good value for my money.

Just ordered a WiFicandy hotspot for a road trip through Ireland next month. Used a 'first order discount' code I found.

M MeeraP 3 days ago
Nice! I'm planning a similar trip. Where did you find that discount code? I'm always looking for ways to save a few quid.

S Sanjay77 3 days ago
I think there's usually a student discount too, if that applies to anyone here.

It popped up when I signed up for their newsletter on the website. Worth checking if it's still active. Got 10% off.

How reliable is the coverage in rural parts of Ireland though? That's my main concern. Don't want to get stuck without maps.
1
R RohanS 3 days ago
Yeah, that's a good question. I've heard some mixed reviews for other providers once you're off the main roads.

Finally tried out the WiFicandy eSIM for my trip to Italy, way better than hunting for local SIMs.

D Deepak91 2 weeks ago
Does WiFicandy actually provide 5G speeds with the eSIM? I've heard mixed things about speeds for these travel eSIMs.

S Sneha22 2 weeks ago
Following this, also curious about the speeds compared to a local SIM.

P PriyaS 2 weeks ago
It felt like 5G in the cities, definitely fast enough for streaming and video calls. Rural areas were more like good 4G, but still totally usable.

Oh, really? I've been debating between the eSIM and their physical hotspot for my upcoming Euro trip. Did you get the Europe eSIM plan?

A AnkitM 2 weeks ago
I used the physical hotspot last year and it was great for sharing with my family. But the eSIM sounds more convenient for solo travel.

P PriyaS 2 weeks ago
Yeah, the Europe one. It was super easy to activate and I had data almost immediately after landing. No issues with coverage in Rome or Florence, which was a relief.

Thinking about getting an eSIM for my UK trip, but I also see they have physical hotspots. Which one is better for someone who just needs reliable internet for maps and social media?

J James Campbell 1 month ago
If you've got a newer phone that supports eSIM, I'd go with that. No extra device to carry and charge. But if you have friends/family with you who also need internet, the hotspot is probably better since multiple devices can connect.

Depends on your phone and if you need to share. I got an eSIM for myself and it was great. My buddy used the hotspot last year because his phone was older and he was sharing with his wife, worked out well for them.

Anyone got a referral code for Wificandy? Or know if they do first-time customer discounts?

J Jessica S. 1 month ago
They definitely have a referral program! You can usually find codes floating around if you ask. Also, check their website, sometimes they pop up with a first-order discount directly.

How long does it usually take for Wificandy to deliver to a place in, say, London? Planning a trip soon and need it pretty quick.

M Melissa W. 1 month ago
They usually ship pretty fast. I had one delivered to my hotel in Manchester within a few days of ordering. Check their shipping info for specifics but it's usually quick for UK destinations.

A Amanda T. 1 month ago
My experience was it depends on when you order. If it's close to a weekend, might take an extra day. But generally, pretty reliable for the UK.

Thinking of getting an eSIM for my trip to the UK and Ireland instead of a physical hotspot. Is the eSIM just as good or should I stick to the hotspot for reliability?

M Megan L. 1 month ago
Depends on your phone, but for me, the eSIM was super convenient, no extra device to carry. Speeds were good. Some people just prefer the dedicated hotspot though.
6
J Joseph B. 1 month ago
I'd go with the hotspot if you're traveling with others and need to share the connection easily. Plus, it saves your phone's battery. eSIM is great for solo travel though.

Hey, anyone know if Wificandy hotspots work well in really rural spots in Ireland? Thinking of doing a road trip out to the west coast and don't want to lose signal.

D David Torres 1 month ago
Yeah, I used them last summer in Donegal and Mayo, which is pretty remote. Had solid signal most of the time, even on country roads. Was impressed.

M Matt Mitchell 4 weeks ago
It's generally good, but like any service, there are dead zones. Mostly fine though for general travel. I think it depends on the local network they're piggybacking on.

Is this Wificandy thing legit or some kind of scam? Never heard of them before but the unlimited data sounds too good to be true.

S Susan S. 1 month ago
Nah, they're legit. Used them for my trip to Italy last summer, had great coverage everywhere, even in some pretty remote spots. Unlimited data was actually unlimited.
1
J Jacob S. 1 month ago
Totally legit. I think a lot of people just compare them to things like Vodafone because they're a smaller, specialized company. But their service is solid, especially for travelers.

Hey planning a trip to Ireland next month. How easy is it to return the hotspot when I'm done? Don't want to be scrambling at the airport.

E Ella 1 month ago
Super easy. They give you a prepaid envelope and you just drop it in any post box before you leave. I did it from a small town post office, no problem.
2
H Hannah Campbell 1 month ago
Yeah, I just mailed mine back from my last hotel. Afaik you just need to get it in the post before your rental period ends.

anyone know if these coupon codes actually work? saw a 'first order' one but sometimes those are expired.

P Paul H. 1 month ago
Yeah, they usually do. I used one last spring, 10% off the rental fee. Just make sure you put it in at checkout, not before.

J Jennifer 1 month ago
I think they tend to have active ones. I got 15% off my last long-term rental by signing up for their newsletter first. Worth a shot.
